Biography

RAWAD GHATTASS is a Lebanese visual artist who holds a BA in Fine Arts from the Lebanese University of Fine Arts.
Rawad Ghattass practices a unique fusion between abstract expressionism and modern realism.
Born in 1984, in a rural community, he has developed very close ties with nature from the moment of his early childhood,
when this natural and social environment became the initial muse and finally remained one of the most inspiring points of reference throughout his work journey.
He shaped his artistic vision toward refining and expanding his source of inspiration with literature, philosophy, personal experiences and the complexity of the human existence as a strong dialogue between artist, work and audience.
For him art is far from being an ornament or entertainment. in his own definition, art is a medium of deep expression, an instrument with which to communicate and document, as well as being the source of change, awareness and reflection.
By keeping the balance between order and chaos, he reflects the dynamic energy and the movements of the community, presenting a vivid commentary portraying the order and disorder in modernity’s existence.
He has many participations in collective arts exhibitions and an experience in the field of psychosocial support through art therapy.
